I've been working full time online now since 1998 - which seems like eons in internet years. And during that period I've built dozens of different websites. But this is the first time I've built one with my own name attached!
So, why have I taken this step now? Good question. Could be that I'm bored and wanted to build a new website. Or it could be that I wanted to see my name in cyber-neon lights.
Either way, I'm here - and my website is here, and you're welcome to have a browse around.
As you'll see, my primary interest in the internet is in the massive opportunities it presents to all comers - the opportunity to break out of the limits of one's home country and do business with the entire world.
It is this vision of making money online which inspired me when I first logged on to the net back in 1996. I immediately sensed the significance of this brand new medium, and just knew I had to be involved.
What's even more inspiring is the way the internet levels the playing field. No longer does it matter if you're too tall, too fat, too ugly or boring. No, online you can be any age, from any country, of any level of education. And if you apply yourself you can reinvent your whole world by clicking your mouse.
This is democracy in action. No, not that fraudulent one which you are encouraged to vote for every few years - but a true democracy where every vote is counted. And I'm not talking about political votes but economic ones.
Every time you choose to spend or not spend a dollar online, you are voting on the worldwide web. Every time you join or not join some new service online, you are voting on the worldwide web. And your voting either brings success or failure to someone's idea made real.
The internet has spawned a wave of brilliant ideas - ideas that are changing people's lives. And as more people realise they don't need to be bystanders, but can join in the party - the more amazing the net will become.
